Al-Hilal defender Joao Cancelo will be sidelined for two months due to a hamstring injury, the Saudi Pro League champions announced on Sunday. The Portuguese international, who joined Al-Hilal from Manchester City in the close season, will miss his country's Nations League quarter-final against Denmark later this month.
Medical tests revealed the extent of Cancelo's injury, prompting Al-Hilal to initiate an eight-week treatment and rehabilitation program for the defender. Cancelo has been a key contributor for Al-Hilal, providing 11 assists and scoring twice in 31 appearances across all competitions.
Al-Hilal currently sits second in the Saudi Pro League with 51 points, six points behind leaders Al-Ittihad. The team will face Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan in the last 16 of the AFC Champions League Elite on Tuesday.

Honestly, he hasn't justified his price tag. Only two goals in 31 matches? Not impressive.

He lost focus the moment he left Manchester City. Stay away from Premier League rejects.
