On Sunday, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Tamil Nadu government's performance, highlighting what she described as worsening governance conditions and poor law-and-order management in the state. According to her claims, criminal activities are spiking, specifically sexual offenses and cases falling under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. She criticized the state administration for trying to divert public attention from these pressing issues by calling an all-party meeting on delimitation, a topic she considers irrelevant to current challenges.
Referring explicitly to a recent serious crime, Soundararajan pointed out the case involving an alleged sexual assault of a second-year student at Anna University. The incident reportedly occurred on the university's campus in December, leading to widespread criticism of how the DMK-led state government has handled the issue. Chennai police have arrested one suspect linked to the incident. Soundararajan urged Chief Minister MK Stalin to confront and address critical problems in Tamil Nadu effectively rather than employing diversionary strategies.
Soundararajan also reacted sharply to recent comments from DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who accused the Central government of trying to impose Hindi language and the New Education Policy (NEP) onto Tamil Nadu. Stalin firmly stated that Tamil Nadu would not accept the NEP, delimitation, and Hindi imposition under any circumstances. He asserted that his party would resist alleged attempts by the Central government to indirectly introduce Hindi language through educational policy changes.
Responding directly to these allegations of language imposition, Soundararajan rejected the claim altogether. Addressing Udhayanidhi Stalin's accusations, she maintained that there was no Hindi imposition occurring in Tamil Nadu. She further questioned the authenticity of DMK's claims by confronting their personal educational choices—highlighting that their children were likely not studying in government schools. Soundararajan accused DMK leaders of exploiting the issue politically and misleading students studying in Tamil Nadu government schools.
These statements mark a significant political confrontation in Tamil Nadu, reflecting heightened tension between the ruling DMK and the BJP-led central authorities over governance, education policy, and language politics.

The Anna University assault case should be immediately addressed, and the DMK government's handling has been disappointing.

It's obvious DMK uses delimitation and language controversy to distract citizens from their governance failures.

Tamilisai is just creating unnecessary panic to distract from BJP's failures at the national level.

Tamilisai is correct—Tamil Nadu's governance issues are very alarming and deserve immediate action.

The DMK government is rightfully standing firm against NEP and delimitation; BJP should stop interfering in state matters.

Typical BJP move! Instead of addressing real central issues, they're busy politicizing everything for their personal gain.

Excellent points raised by Tamilisai—DMK must focus on real public issues, not imaginary threats like Hindi imposition.

DMK’s handling of sensitive crime cases deserves questioning—Tamil Nadu residents must demand more responsible leadership.

Tamilisai clearly doesn't understand local Tamil Nadu realities—it’s easy to blame when you're not even governing.
