Teenager Killed by Dog in Bristol Identified as Morgan Dorsett
A 19-year-old woman from Shropshire, identified as Morgan Dorsett, tragically lost her life after being attacked by a dog in a Bristol flat. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in a flat on Cobhorn Drive, Hartcliffe.
The dog, believed to be an XL Bully, attacked Ms. Dorsett around 7:19 pm. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the dog was euthanized and are still working to confirm its exact breed.
Two individuals in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog, causing injury resulting in death, and possession of a prohibited breed. They have been released on conditional police bail while the investigation continues.
Ms. Dorsett's family is being kept informed of the investigation's progress and is receiving support from a specially trained officer. They expressed gratitude for the public's support and requested privacy during this difficult time.
Inspector Terry Murphy acknowledged the efforts of officers and paramedics who attempted to save Ms. Dorsett's life and confirmed that they are receiving support. A thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Heartbreaking loss. Authorities must urgently regulate XL Bullies before more innocent people are harmed.
