Trump Administration Secures Extradition of 29, Including Notorious Cartel Boss

The Trump administration secured the extradition of 29 defendants from Mexico, who were facing charges in various districts across the country. These charges included racketeering, drug trafficking, murder, illegal use of firearms, money laundering, and other crimes.

This move came as part of the president's efforts to crack down on drug cartels and secure the nation's southern border. The White House press secretary praised Attorney General Bondi and Secretary of State Rubio for their role in securing the extraditions.

Among the extradited individuals was Rafael Caro Quintero, a notorious cartel boss who was responsible for the torture and murder of DEA Agent Kiki Camerena in 1985. The statement from the White House press secretary criticized the previous administration for allowing these criminals to run free and commit crimes.

The Trump administration has declared these cartels as terrorist organizations and is demanding justice for the American people. This follows an executive order issued by President Trump in January, which led to the designation of eight groups as foreign terrorist organizations last week.

The Department of Justice noted that the defendants taken into U.S. custody included leaders and managers of drug cartels recently designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists. These cartels include the Sinaloa Cartel, Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), Cártel del Noreste (formerly Los Zetas), La Nueva Familia Michoacana, and Cártel de Golfo (Gulf Cartel).

FBI Director Kash Patel declared that the federal law enforcement agency and its partners will work tirelessly to bring terrorists and cartel members to justice. He stated that the era of harming Americans and walking free is over.
