China and the United States Plan for Future Military Exchanges
China and the United States have made initial plans for the next phase of military exchanges, according to a Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman.
The announcement came during a news conference in Beijing, where ministry spokesman Wu Qian stated that the two sides maintain effective communication through military diplomatic channels.
"There have been some preliminary plans and arrangements for exchanges in the foreseeable future. We will release information in due course," Wu said.
He expressed hope that Washington will work with Beijing to advance ties, emphasizing the importance of learning from history to build a better future.
Wu reiterated China's desire to strengthen communication and dialogue with the U.S., manage disagreements effectively, and expand substantive cooperation based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation – principles emphasized by both nations' leaders.
"In this way, it is hoped that China-U.S. military relations will get off to a good start and continue to grow," he concluded.
