Tejashwi Yadav's jab at Nitish Kumar and call for Nishant Kumar's entry into politics
In a recent statement, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav made a bold statement about Bihar's political landscape. He addressed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son, Nishant Kumar, as his "brother" and urged him to enter politics. Yadav believes that Nishant's involvement could be the key to the survival of JD(U), the party founded by Sharad Yadav.
Yadav expressed concern that the BJP might "finish" the JD(U) if Nishant doesn't join the political arena. He emphasized that Nishant's decision to enter politics would determine the party's future. Yadav drew a parallel between his own political journey and Nishant's potential path, stating that both he and his brother Tej Pratap Yadav joined politics not because of their parents' wishes, but due to the needs of the people and party workers.
Yadav further criticized Nitish Kumar, calling him a "Chief Minister of circumstances" who was rejected by the people of Bihar. He asserted that the RJD was the single largest party in the state and that the people desired change and a "Developed Bihar." He emphasized that a "son of Bihar" should lead the state forward, not "some Gujarati or any outsider."
Responding to the Court's summons in the land-for-job scam case, Yadav expressed skepticism about the judicial process, stating that the Election Commission had become a "cheerleader" for the BJP. He questioned the credibility of investigative agencies like the ED and Income Tax department in such a scenario.
Nishant Kumar had previously urged the people of Bihar to support his father in the upcoming elections, highlighting his contributions to the state's development. He called upon JD(U) workers to spread the message of Nitish Kumar's achievements over the past 19 years.
With assembly elections in Bihar expected to be held later this year, Tejashwi Yadav's statement has added a new dimension to the political discourse. Whether Nishant Kumar decides to enter politics and the impact it might have on the JD(U)'s future remains to be seen.
