Bisleri International Collaborates with Schneider Electric to Boost Renewable Energy

Bisleri International has partnered with Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business to drive a major energy efficiency project under its Greener Promise initiative. This collaboration will see the installation of up to 13.6 MW of solar power across six key manufacturing plants located in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh, which is expected to boost the company’s green energy usage to nearly 33% and improve energy efficiency by 2.5% while cutting carbon emissions by approximately 16,000 tons per year.

Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, highlighted the economic and environmental benefits of renewable energy through this partnership. Bisleri, known for its strict quality controls and extensive network across India and neighboring countries, continues to build on its long-standing commitment to sustainability by integrating energy-efficient solutions, recycling initiatives, water conservation, and resource replenishment through its Greener Promise program.

Deepak Sharma of Schneider Electric expressed the company’s dedication to reducing environmental footprints by adopting smarter energy solutions, emphasizing that collaborations like this are crucial for building a sustainable future. This strategic move is part of Schneider Electric’s broader mission to foster sustainable growth through advanced electrification, automation, and digitization, supporting businesses in achieving both operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Beyond the renewable energy focus, Bisleri has made significant advancements by deploying rooftop solar panels that generate a portion of its energy needs and initiating projects that have already reduced its CO2 footprint. With a legacy spanning over 54 years, Bisleri International remains steadfast in its commitment to provide pure, safe, and healthy water while continuously reinforcing sustainable practices within its operations.

I'm glad to see Bisleri taking steps to be more sustainable, but I still won't buy their water in plastic bottles.

This is better than nothing, but they really need to switch to more sustainable packaging.

16,000 tons of emissions cut is nothing when you're producing millions of tons of plastic waste. 👎

This is great news, but it's just a start. We need more companies to follow Bisleri's lead.
