A TikTok creator named Sarah C Roberts is under investigation by U.S. Attorney Ed Martin, following a video in which she appeared to call for the assassination of Elon Musk. The video, posted on her now-deactivated account, featured a declaration to "X" Musk—an allusion to assassination—and included additional provocative remarks about tax issues. Musk himself alerted Martin to the video, noting both a death threat and admissions of tax fraud in his correspondence.

Roberts' video quickly garnered attention after being circulated by a prominent right-wing account and later reposted by Musk. The video opened with a statement addressing Musk directly and escalated as Roberts mimicked a gesture symbolizing violence while mentioning the possibility of FBI involvement in a hushed tone.
