Israel's Demilitarization Push in Southern Syria

Preventing southern Syria from becoming "southern Lebanon": This refers to the heavily militarized zone controlled by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, which has been a source of conflict with Israel.
Israel is determined to prevent Syrian regime forces from gaining a foothold in this zone.
Ukraine and US Finalize Investment Fund Agreement
Ukraine and the US have finalized an agreement on establishing an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Prime Minister Shmyhal emphasized that the agreement does not contain provisions on a $500 billion fund or full US ownership. Instead, it establishes a framework for a jointly managed fund with equal contributions from both countries.
The agreement is contingent on security guarantees from the US. Ukraine will contribute 50% of its future income from mineral resources and infrastructure projects to the fund. The US will also make contributions, and the fund will be managed by both governments.

Searches of Georgescu's associates uncovered weapons, ammunition, and significant sums of money. He is suspected of acts against the constitutional order, public incitement, creation of a fascist organization, and false information about election campaign financing.
