At a meeting in Beijing attended by heads of various social work departments, senior Communist Party official Cai Qi stressed the importance of promoting high-quality development in the field of social work. Cai, who holds key positions including membership in the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, called for renewed efforts to adapt social governance to contemporary challenges within modern society.
Cai underlined that adhering to the socialist path unique to China is essential for strengthening Party structures and enhancing the role of the Party in new economic and social organizations. He pointed out the need to revamp primary-level governance by empowering Party building, which would ensure that the interests of the people are at the forefront of governance practices.
In addition, Cai emphasized modernizing social governance to effectively tackle the issues faced by various social groups, mitigate risks, and resolve disputes.
