Premier Li Qiang Emphasizes Winter Sports Development in Heilongjiang
Premier Li Qiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited northeast China's Heilongjiang province on Saturday. During his inspection tour, he stressed the importance of stepping up the development of winter sports and related industries.
Li highlighted the need to utilize the province's unique resources to enrich the supply of quality winter sports products and services. He emphasized the need to stimulate the vitality of the winter economy and continuously improve the well-being of the people.
While visiting the Harbin Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival, Li called for further development of snow and ice venues accessible to the public and the creation of more engaging and entertaining winter activities. He urged the province to continue developing new consumption scenarios and forms of business, expanding and improving service consumption, and leveraging its distinctive advantages to strengthen development.
Li also visited a local ice sports center and noted the increased public enthusiasm for winter sports following the 9th Asian Winter Games. He called for efforts to leverage this opportunity to further promote mass participation in winter activities and develop industries related to winter sports equipment.
During his conversation with designers at a local culture and tourism company, Li emphasized the need to continuously increase the appeal of ice and snow cultural products. He stressed the importance of enterprises playing a leading role in innovation to create more products and services, and the need to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in the sector.
