Lushan Mountain Offers Free Admission in March to Boost Tourism in Jiangxi

Lushan Mountain Offers Free Admission in March

Lushan Mountain, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, is offering free admission to both domestic and international tourists throughout March. This initiative is part of the province's efforts to attract more visitors with improved services.

The free admission period will run from March 1st to March 31st. Visitors can enjoy free entry to attractions such as the Lushan Mountain Scenic Area, the Bailudong Academy (White Deer Grotto Academy), and the Sandiequan Waterfall (Three-Step Waterfall). However, visitors must book tickets online in advance, and only a limited number of motorists will be allowed into core zones with mandatory pre-reservations.

This move comes as Jiangxi province experiences a surge in tourism, thanks to the implementation of a 240-hour visa-free policy for foreign travelers since December. During the Spring Festival holiday, reservations made by tourists planning to visit Jiangxi increased by 78% year-on-year. Domestic tourism has also seen a significant rise, with interprovincial travel becoming increasingly popular.

The free admission announcement has generated excitement on social media, with many users inquiring about ticket reservation methods and sharing their travel plans. Following Lushan's initiative, other sightseeing locations in Jiangxi, such as the Jinggang Mountains and Sanqing Mountain, have also announced free admission periods to boost tourism.

With its rich history, breathtaking scenery, and improved accessibility, Lushan Mountain is poised to welcome a record number of visitors in March. This free admission offer provides an excellent opportunity for tourists to experience the beauty and cultural significance of this iconic landmark.

While the initiative promotes tourism, I hope it also emphasizes responsible travel and environmental awareness among visitors.

I hope the free admission doesn't compromise the quality of maintenance and services offered at Lushan.

Great news for domestic tourists too! Interprovincial travel and Lushan's free entry are a perfect combo.
