In Minsk, a significant tourism workshop was held at the Chinese Cultural Center, co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Belarus and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism. The event saw participation from approximately 30 travel agencies and airlines from both China and Belarus, aiming to discover new avenues for cultural exchange and tourism business ventures.
A special area was designated for direct, one-on-one negotiations between tour operators from the two countries, fostering an interactive and energetic atmosphere. To ensure the discussions ran smoothly, the organizers provided the services of 10 skilled interpreters. One interpreter, Jane Biryuk, expressed her enthusiasm about the intensive translation work that facilitated detailed and pragmatic exchanges among the participants.
Several speakers highlighted the mutual eagerness to enhance tourism ties. Oleg Andreychik, the deputy minister of Sport and Tourism of Belarus, emphasized the nation’s commitment to improving tourism services and creating attractive products for Chinese visitors. Similarly, cultural officials underscored that the willingness of both sides to collaborate is a strong indicator of the growing potential for tourism cooperation.
Additional insights were provided by cultural and business representatives who recognized the vast opportunities present in both countries. Comments from figures like Wu Feng and the Chinese Ambassador to Belarus underscored the promise of launching new tourism products and strengthening service quality in both markets, paving the way for a more dynamic and mutually beneficial tourism relationship.
