During an inspection tour in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Premier Li Qiang visited various winter sports venues and events, including the Harbin Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival. He urged local authorities to develop more accessible ice and snow venues and to promote engaging winter activities by capitalizing on distinctive local resources. The Premier stressed that these efforts would not only boost tourism and service consumption but also stimulate economic growth by creating new business models and expanding consumption opportunities.
At the local ice sports center, Li discussed the positive impact of mass participation in winter sports, noting that events like the recently held 9th Asian Winter Games have increased public enthusiasm. He called on enterprises to innovate further, improve their offerings, and make significant contributions to the development of the winter sports equipment industry. In addition, during his visit to a company specializing in culture and tourism, he emphasized the need to enhance the appeal of ice and snow cultural products and to bolster international exchanges and cooperation in the sector.
