The Pentagon Denies Trump's Claims on Ukraine Spending
The Pentagon has refuted former President Trump's claims that the United States has spent $350 billion on Ukraine. According to an interagency oversight group responsible for reporting to Congress, the US Congress has allocated approximately $183 billion to Ukraine since Russia's invasion in February 2022.
Of this allocated amount, the Pentagon confirmed that the US has sent $65.9 billion in military aid to Ukraine. An additional $3.9 billion authorized by Congress for military aid to Kyiv remains unspent.
Approximately $58 billion of the total $183 billion in aid to Ukraine was spent within the US. These funds were directed towards the development of the US defense industry, either by replacing old weapons transferred to Kyiv with new American-made weapons or by direct investment in the industry.
Zelensky Discusses US Aid Agreement and War End
President Zelensky of Ukraine has addressed the terms of a potential aid agreement with the United States. He stated that the agreement stipulates that for every dollar of US aid, Ukraine must return two dollars. This essentially translates to a 100% loan for Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized the need for a "win-win" agreement that benefits both the US and Ukraine. He also highlighted the importance of the agreement being "pleasant" for both parties, as an agreement that is unfavorable for one party does not constitute a true partnership.
Furthermore, Zelensky addressed the logic behind the US's desire to invest in Ukraine's business sector. He pointed out that the presence of American companies in Ukraine does not guarantee security against Russian aggression, as evidenced by the fact that American companies operating in Ukraine before the war did not prevent Russia from invading occupied territories.
Ukrainian Military Restructuring
According to Ukrainian media reports, President Zelensky has determined the composition of army corps and appointed commanders. This restructuring involves the creation of 18 corps, with most brigades being reduced to fit within these corps. The majority of corps will consist of 5 brigades, with one exception having 7 brigades.
The newly formed corps will be distributed across the ground forces (13 corps), airborne assault forces (2 corps), marine corps (1 corps), and National Guard (2 corps).
Head of GUR Predicts War's End in 2025
Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR), Kyrylo Budanov, believes the war with Russia will end in 2025. He cites the need for a ceasefire and respite for Russia, as well as the significant financial burden the war has placed on the country, as key factors contributing to this prediction.

The "win-win" agreement with Ukraine is a fair deal. We're providing them with the resources they need to defend themselves, and they're committed to repaying us.

The $183 billion in aid to Ukraine is a small price to pay for our freedom and security. If Russia is allowed to conquer Ukraine, they'll be emboldened to attack other countries, including our own.

It's important that we support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. They're defending their freedom and democracy, and we need to stand with them.

Budanov's prediction that the war will end in 2025 is just wishful thinking. There's no way that Russia will give up before they've achieved their goals.

Investing in Ukraine's business sector is a smart move. It will help them rebuild their economy and become a more prosperous nation.
