Zhang Yaodong No Longer a Mediacorp Artiste Amidst Scandals
Zhang Yaodong, a Malaysian actor who built his career in Singapore, is no longer a Mediacorp artiste. This comes after a series of scandals involving his personal life, including accusations of infidelity and fathering children abroad.
The 47-year-old actor's reputation took a hit in July 2024 when he was accused of being a serial cheater. He later admitted to having two daughters but did not reveal the identity of their mother.
Further allegations surfaced in January 2025, claiming that he had more "illegitimate children" in China, Indonesia, and Thailand. Mediacorp confirmed that they no longer represent Zhang Yaodong and are unable to comment on the inquiries.
Zhang's profile has also been removed from The Celebrity Agency (TCA) website, although they have not issued an official statement regarding his employment status.
Zhang Yaodong began his showbiz career after competing in the Mediacorp talent contest Star Search in 2001. He has starred in over 50 dramas, including "The Greatest Love Of All" (2007) and "Daybreak" (2019), both of which earned him Best Actor nominations at the Star Awards. His last project was "Born To Shine" in 2024.

This behavior is unforgivable. How can anyone trust a celebrity known for such scandalous missteps?

The news is tragic for fans, but ethical standards must be maintained in every aspect of life.

I support the decision—public figures must uphold honesty and integrity both on and off-screen.
