Zelenskyy Prepares for Talks with Trump's Representative, Emphasizes Shared Goal for Peace
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is actively preparing for crucial talks with General Keith Kellogg, President Donald Trump's representative. He stressed the importance of constructive discussions and a united goal for peace with both the US and Europe.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy stated, "A lot of meetings and briefings are taking place in preparation for talks with General Kellogg, who is already in Kyiv. Our meeting is crucial, and our overall cooperation with the US must remain constructive." He emphasized the shared goal of achieving lasting security through collaboration with the US and Europe.
However, Zelenskyy's leadership has been criticized by former US President Trump. Trump accused Zelenskyy of persuading the US to invest heavily in a war he believed could not be won. He also questioned the allocation of resources and Europe's lack of equal financial contribution.
Trump further criticized Zelenskyy for refusing to hold elections and for allegedly mismanaging US aid. He called Zelenskyy a "Dictator without Elections" and urged him to act quickly to preserve Ukraine's integrity.
Despite the criticism, Zelenskyy remains focused on achieving peace through collaboration with international partners. He believes that a united front is essential for ensuring lasting security in the region.
