Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov met in Beijing on Wednesday to discuss their commitment to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. Both leaders expressed their desire for mutually beneficial outcomes.
President Xi Jinping emphasized China's willingness to expand economic, trade, and investment cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. He also expressed China's support for Chinese enterprises investing and starting businesses in Kyrgyzstan, while urging Kyrgyzstan to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese investors.
Regarding connectivity, President Xi Jinping called for both countries to contribute to the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway with high standards and quality. He also suggested renovating and modernizing existing ports and opening more passenger and freight flights to facilitate the flow of people and goods. Additionally, he encouraged both sides to explore new growth drivers by expanding cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence.
President Japarov affirmed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to working with China to build the Belt and Road with high quality. He also expressed his country's support for the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and its desire to advance cooperation in various sectors, including industry, investment, trade, transportation, e-commerce, and education.
