The CPC’s disciplinary authority has issued a resolute call for unwavering perseverance in the ongoing war against corruption, acknowledging that the situation remains both serious and multifaceted. This announcement came via a communique during the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, held over three days in Beijing, where leaders laid out the strategy for combating corruption.
General Secretary Xi Jinping, who also serves as China’s president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, played a key role by delivering an important address at the session. The meeting highlighted a comprehensive review of the past year’s discipline inspection and supervisory work and outlined the main tasks for 2025, reflecting the message contained in a work report presented by Li Xi, a high-ranking official in the discipline inspection system.
Over the course of 2024, the campaign made significant strides in targeting not only corruption directly but also the conditions that facilitate such practices. Initiatives were taken to curb hedonism, extravagance, bureaucratic excess, and empty formalities, while intensified efforts in sectors like finance, energy, and sports led to the exposure of emerging forms of corruption and hidden graft. A substantial number of departments, totaling 68, underwent regular disciplinary inspections as part of these ongoing efforts to purge corruption and restore order.

This is just another empty slogan from the CPC. Don't be fooled by their propaganda.

Until they address the root causes of corruption, it will never be truly eradicated. This is just a cycle of pronouncements and empty promises.

This just sounds like more political maneuvering from the CPC. They're not really concerned about the people.

They talk a big game, but where are the results? We need to see concrete action, not empty words.

68 departments inspected? That's just the tip of the iceberg. What about the rest?
