China's National Immigration Administration has rolled out a new visa exemption policy targeting organized tourist groups from the 10 ASEAN countries. Under this initiative, groups featuring a minimum of two ordinary passport holders are permitted to travel to Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province without a visa. They can use three specific entry points – the Xishuangbanna Gasa International Airport, the Mohan Railway Port, and the Mohan Highway Port – to access the region.
Once the groups enter through any of these select ports, they are allowed to remain in Xishuangbanna for a period not exceeding six days. This measure is applicable only when the tour is arranged by established Chinese travel agencies. An official from the National Immigration Administration highlighted that this development is a crucial move to support Yunnan's role as a bridge for China's engagement with the South and Southeast Asian regions.
