Chinese Premier Li Qiang is set to be present at the closing ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games, which will take place in Harbin, Heilongjiang province. According to a spokesperson from the Chinese foreign ministry, Li will not only attend the ceremony but will also host a welcome banquet and hold bilateral discussions with visiting foreign leaders.
Among the international guests, Cook Islands Prime Minister Mark Brown and Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene have been invited to the event. Li is expected to meet with each of them in Harbin, using this occasion as an opportunity to further bilateral relations. Brown’s visit includes additional stops in Shanghai and Shandong province, providing a broader platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas.
The spokesperson noted that the series of meetings, including Oyun-Erdene's visit, is intended to bolster political trust and reinforce strategic partnerships. This interaction is seen as a step toward building a community with a shared future between China and Mongolia, underscoring the broader goals of fostering closer international ties.
