President Trump is sending officials to Saudi Arabia to negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. Trump's team will meet with top officials from both countries, as well as representatives from Saudi Arabia. The meeting comes after Trump announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to begin peace talks. Trump has said that he would end the war if re-elected, and that it would never have begun if he had been in office at the time.
Trump is also expected to meet with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer this week. The meeting will focus on trade and energy policy. Trump has announced a "reciprocal tariff" plan that will impose "fair and reciprocal" tariffs on all major U.S. trading partners. Trump has also created the National Energy Dominance Council, which is expected to "unleash" energy independence.

This is a win-win situation. Peace in Ukraine and better trade deals? What's not to like?

This is an insult to the thousands of lives lost in this war. Trump using their deaths as campaign fodder is sickening.

Unleash energy independence? More like unleash environmental disaster. This is just another Trumpian smokescreen for deregulation.

Don't be fooled by this charade. Trump cares nothing for peace, he just wants to use this for his own political gain.
