Captain Bakshi and Two Soldiers Remembered in Ranchi

In Ranchi, a solemn ceremony was organized to honor Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi, who made the ultimate sacrifice when an IED blast occurred while he was on duty in the Akhnoor sector along the Line of Control. The event saw senior officials, family members, and other dignitaries coming together to pay their final respects to the captain. Local leaders, including Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar and Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, expressed their deep sorrow and reiterated their commitment to support the bereaved family and uphold the memory of the fallen officer.

The tragic incident, which also resulted in the loss of another soldier during a fence patrol mission along the border in the Laleali area of Akhnoor Sector, has stirred political commentary. A prominent BJP leader criticized the incident, alleging that it was orchestrated by terrorists in collaboration with elements across the border, while also underscoring that strict measures are in place to maintain peace along the border.

In response to the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken proactive steps by instructing the Border Security Force to intensify its vigilance along the lengthy India-Pakistan border. Efforts include the reinforcement of the border grid and the deployment of cutting-edge surveillance technologies to prevent any further infiltrations and to secure the region.
