The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued travel warnings for various countries, including advice against "all travel" to 10 countries and "all but essential travel" to entire countries or specific areas within multiple countries.
These warnings are in place due to security concerns, health hazards, and legal inconsistencies with the UK. The FCDO advises against travel to popular destinations such as Tunisia, India, Thailand, Turkey, and Mexico.
It is important to check the FCDO list before travelling to any country, as ignoring it could void your travel insurance and leave you without consular support in an overseas emergency.
Among the 226 countries or territories with foreign travel advisory pages, 73 are currently flagged as having areas of high-risk. These areas are typically flagged due to security concerns, health hazards, and legal inconsistencies with the UK.
