Tragic Explosion on Russian Oil Tanker and Missile Near-Miss Incident

CCTV footage captured a horrifying event when two oil tanker drivers were performing welding work at the rear of a vessel that still contained fuel. While attempting to address an issue with the tanker, the men triggered a massive explosion that engulfed the vehicle in flames and heavy smoke, instantly claiming their lives with a deafening roar accompanying the blast.

In a separate incident, an R-27 guided air-to-air missile, fired by a Russian fighter jet, went off course and landed dangerously close to a building complex in the village of Nikolskoye in Russia’s Belgorod region. Although the missile, part of a string of friendly-fire incidents in regions near Ukraine, missed causing casualties this time, its near impact underscores the recurring safety concerns amid ongoing hostilities.

Recent reports indicate that since the beginning of the year, Russian planes have dropped multiple bombs and missiles on both Russian territory and areas occupied by Ukrainian forces. Among these attacks was the deployment of a UMPB-250 “smart” bomb in the Belgorod region, which nearly devastated a village, and further details claim that numerous bombs were dropped on Russian settlements as well, highlighting the escalating risk of misfiring ordnance in the region.
