Trump's Border Czar Vows to Eradicate Venezuelan Gang
"We're going to keep coming, no matter what."
Homan emphasized the inefficiency of apprehending criminals in public, highlighting the difficulty of finding individuals who actively avoid detection. He stressed the importance of apprehending individuals within county jails, where resources are optimized. However, he acknowledged the necessity of deploying teams to locate individuals in neighborhoods, a process he vowed to continue until the Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang is eradicated from the United States.
Homan, a key figure in President Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration, declared his primary objective as placing every member of the violent Venezuelan gang on notice across the country. Since Trump's inauguration, several TDA members have been apprehended, including an alleged ringleader recently captured in the Bronx.
Following the leak that hampered an ICE raid targeting the Venezuelan gang in Colorado, Homan vowed to investigate the source of the leak. As the Trump administration moves to relocate gang members to the Guantánamo Bay Detention Camp in Cuba, the Department of Defense confirmed the arrival of the first 10 "high threat" illegal migrant criminals, all members of TDA.
"We're going to find them. We're going to arrest them, and take them off the streets.
