President Donald Trump expressed strong disagreement with a federal judge's ruling that restricts the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing the Treasury Department. In an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Trump stated that he "100 percent" disagrees with the ruling and believes it is "crazy."
The ruling, issued by U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer, bars DOGE from accessing the Treasury system until at least February 14th. The judge's order was in response to a lawsuit filed by 19 Democratic state attorneys general who claimed that giving DOGE "full access" to the Treasury's payment systems violates the law.
Trump argued that the ruling is hindering efforts to address government inefficiency, fraud, and waste. He cited examples of alleged misuse of funds within USAID and emphasized the need to solve these issues.
Vice President JD Vance and other conservatives aligned with Trump have also criticized the judge's order. Vance argued that judges should not be allowed to control the executive's legitimate power.
Trump also discussed his recent comments about Canada becoming the U.S.' 51st state. He stated that he believes Canada would be better off as a state and that the U.S. loses $200 billion a year due to its relationship with Canada.
Trump will be spending his Sunday evening in New Orleans for the Super Bowl. Baier's full interview with Trump will air on Monday during "Special Report with Bret Baier.

Trump's claim that Canada is costing the US $200 billion a year is completely fabricated. He throws out these outrageous numbers to manipulate people and stir up fear.

The Democrats are just trying to obstruct Trump and prevent him from making America great again. They are the real threat to our democracy.

This is a blatant attempt to bypass Congress and seize control of the Treasury Department. This is a direct attack on our democracy and must be stopped.

Trump is right about Canada. They take advantage of us and cost us billions of dollars every year. We need to renegotiate our relationship with them or even consider making them a state.

Trump needs to stop attacking the judiciary and focus on the real issues facing the country. He has failed as a leader and needs to step down.

Trump is draining the swamp and that makes the Democrats nervous. They are the ones who benefit from the corruption and inefficiency in government.
