Imran Khan's Second Open Letter to Pakistan's Army Chief
In a second open letter addressed to Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, former Prime Minister and PTI leader Imran Khan expressed his concerns about the country's political and economic situation. He alleged that the current government was installed through manipulated elections and that state institutions were being used for political engineering and revenge.
Khan claimed that the PTI, Pakistan's largest political party, was being targeted and that he himself had been subjected to harsh treatment during his imprisonment. He stated that he had been placed in solitary confinement, deprived of sunlight, and denied access to basic amenities. Additionally, he claimed that his party members and supporters were being denied access to him despite judicial directives.
Khan expressed his disappointment with the response to his first letter, which he had written with the intention of bridging the growing divide between the military and the public. He asserted that he had dedicated his life to serving Pakistan and that his actions were always in the best interests of the country.
He concluded by urging the Army Chief to reconsider the current policies and called for the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the allegations of election manipulation and political victimization.

It’s inspiring to see him stand up for his party and for the principles of transparency.

We need more open conversations like this to hold institutions accountable and bring real change.

Instead of opening a constructive dialogue, this letter just fuels more political polarization.

All this talk of victimization and conspiracy only deepens the political divide.

This isn’t just political posturing—it’s about demanding better for our country.
