Blue Alert Issued for Widespread Impact Across Multiple Regions

Strong Winds and Cold Wave Expected in China

The National Meteorological Center (NMC) of China has issued a blue alert for strong winds and a cold wave expected to hit various regions of the country from Friday, 8 am to Saturday, 8 am.

Affected areas: Northeastern provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning; parts of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the northern region, and the Huanghuai region; some areas in Xizang autonomous region, Qinghai province, and Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

Powerful winds are also expected to hit some areas of the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Channel, and the South China Sea.

Affected areas: Parts of the northwest and northern regions, the Huanghuai region, most parts of the southern region, the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, and the western Sichuan plateau.

Temperature drops could exceed 10 degrees Celsius in some regions.

The current alert for strong winds is a blue alert, indicating the lowest level of severity.
