China's Top Political Advisor Urges Preparation for CPPCC Session
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, urged senior political advisors to diligently prepare for and organize the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The session is scheduled to begin on March 4th.
During the 30th Chairperson's Council meeting of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, Wang emphasized the importance of political advisors contributing their wisdom and strength to achieving the goals and targets outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). He also stressed the need to ensure a smooth start for the next five-year period.
The meeting deliberated and approved a draft report on the work of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee and a draft report on the handling of proposals since the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee. These draft reports will be submitted for consideration to the 10th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, which will be held on March 1st and 2nd.
