AC Milan Signs Joao Felix on Loan; Chelsea Acquires Mathis Amougou

AC Milan has finalized a loan deal for Portuguese striker Joao Felix, bringing him over from Chelsea for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Chelsea has made a significant move by signing French midfielder Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne with a contract that spans eight years.

Amougou, who is just 19 years old, reportedly joined Chelsea for a transfer fee of around 12 million pounds (approximately $14.98 million). He began his youth career at Saint-Etienne in 2021, and has played a total of 17 matches in Serie A this season for the newly promoted team.

Felix made his way to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid last August, signing a seven-year contract that was believed to be worth 46 million pounds (around $57.16 million). During his time at Chelsea, the 25-year-old has found himself limited in terms of playing time, starting only three league matches despite scoring in his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

At AC Milan, Felix will have the opportunity to work under Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao. The club currently sits eighth in Serie A and is preparing to face AS Roma in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. Chelsea, on the other hand, is fourth in the Premier League and will be playing Brighton & Hove Albion in an FA Cup match this Saturday.
