BMX Freestyle Rider Natalya Diehm Overcomes Injury to Inspire the Next Generation

BMX freestyle athlete Natalya Diehm has faced a daunting road to recovery after undergoing ten surgeries and suffering extensive injuries across her body. Initially uncertain about her return to the BMX track or her Olympic aspirations in Paris, Diehm reflects on her struggles and ultimately finds fulfillment in earning a bronze medal, recognizing the worth of her efforts despite moving back in with her parents and moments of self-doubt.

Diehm's journey in BMX began at a young age, influenced by a trip to a local skate park after school, an experience that ignited her passion for the sport.
