Investigators to Recover Aircraft Wreckage After Fatal Washington D.C. Collision
Following the tragic collision between an American Airlines plane and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter in Washington D.C., investigators are preparing to retrieve the wreckage of both aircraft. The crash, which occurred on Wednesday, claimed the lives of 67 people and raised concerns about air safety in the capital.
Divers successfully recovered the black boxes from the American Airlines plane that crashed into the Potomac River. On Friday, they will focus on salvaging the aircraft and searching for additional components. Boats will remain on the scene overnight to provide security and conduct surface searches.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other agencies. The NTSB has not yet released any information about the cause of the crash.

Can anyone explain why two aircraft were allowed to be in the same airspace? This shouldn’t happen!
