Trump Administration Addresses New Jersey Drone Mystery
President Donald Trump's new White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, addressed the mystery surrounding the drones seen over New Jersey in recent months during her first briefing.
Leavitt, the youngest White House press secretary to date, stated that the drones were authorized by the FAA for research and other purposes, including recreational use by hobbyists. She emphasized that the drones were not a threat and attributed the increased sightings to curiosity.
This statement contradicts Trump's previous claims during his December press conference at Mar-a-Lago, where he questioned the Biden administration's silence on the drones and suggested they knew more than they were revealing.
Leavitt also used the briefing to highlight other actions taken by the Trump administration since its return to office, including securing nearly $1 trillion in US investments, deporting illegal immigrants, and restoring common sense to the federal government. She emphasized the administration's transparency, calling its media approach "revolutionary."
Leavitt focused heavily on the issue of immigration, stating that President Trump declared a national emergency at the southern border on his first day in office to address the "four-year-long invasion of illegal aliens" under the previous administration. She directly addressed foreign nationals considering entering the US illegally, stating that they would be detained and deported.
