Following reports that US President-elect Donald Trump expressed interest in visiting China within his first 100 days in office, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded on Monday.

Ning emphasized China's commitment to working with the US to build a new type of major-country relationship, characterized by non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation. This relationship would contribute to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
The spokesperson also highlighted the importance of managing differences between the two countries in a constructive manner. China believes that through dialogue and consultation, both sides can find common ground and address their concerns effectively.
