The local organising committee for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has announced that nine stadiums will be utilized across six cities when the tournament kicks off in December 2025. Notably, Rabat will have four of the stadiums, and the final will be hosted at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, which boasts a capacity of 69,500 spectators. This venue will also facilitate the opening match and a semi-final, with a renovated Tangier stadium sharing in the hosting duties.
The Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca, which was previously the site for the final when Morocco hosted the tournament in 1988, will now be designated for a quarter-final match, alongside other stadiums in Agadir, Fes, and Marrakech. The tournament is structured for 24 teams and is scheduled between December 21, 2025, and January 18, 2026.
Looking ahead, Morocco, in collaboration with Spain and Portugal, plans to co-host the World Cup in 2030. To accommodate this, there are plans to construct a new, 115,000-seat stadium on the outskirts of Casablanca by 2027, with an estimated cost of $500 million. Renovations are also taking place for the stadiums in Rabat and Tangier ahead of the upcoming Cup of Nations, while upgrades are intended for the Agadir, Fes, and Marrakech stadiums post-tournament, as these venues are being considered as potential World Cup host sites.
