Landlord Kills Tenant Over Thermostat Dispute

A Florida community is reeling after a landlord allegedly shot and killed his tenant following a dispute over the thermostat. Adam Anson, 37, now faces charges of second-degree murder and other offenses, according to local news reports.

The incident unfolded on a Saturday morning when Anson entered the efficiency apartment attached to his home, armed with a semi-automatic pistol. His intention was to adjust the thermostat, but the situation quickly escalated.

According to police, Anson forced his way into the apartment and punched the resident before dragging him outside. There, he shot the victim several times in the head, leaving him with fatal injuries.

Following the shooting, Anson calmly returned to the apartment, adjusted the thermostat, and then dialed 911. Responding officers and paramedics found the victim with gunshot wounds and rushed him to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim's identity remains undisclosed. Neighbor Leyani Perez, who witnessed the aftermath of the shooting, described the chilling experience to local reporters.

"I heard 'boom, boom, boom,' like three big noises," Perez recounted. "I wasn't sure if it was a gunshot, but I knew something terrible was happening."

The shooting has left the neighborhood in shock and fear. Perez expressed her own anxieties, stating, "I was scared. I felt like I was in danger. This is not common here. This is something that is extremely rare."
