Vice President Vance Defends Trump's Early Policies
In a recent interview, Vice President JD Vance defended several of President Trump's early policy decisions, including the crackdown on undocumented immigrants and the push to increase oil and gas production.
Vance appeared on CBS's "Face the Nation" and expressed support for the executive actions signed by Trump upon taking office, particularly those aimed at accelerating deportations and ending birthright citizenship.
However, when questioned about previous statements that contradicted his current stance, Vance became defensive. He had previously stated that individuals involved in the January 6th Capitol riot should not be pardoned. However, he reversed his position on Sunday, claiming that Trump's decision to issue blanket pardons, even for those convicted of assaulting police officers and seditious conspiracy, was the "right decision.
