The Type 076 is a new-generation amphibious assault ship equipped with advanced technologies such as electromagnetic catapults and arresting gear, enabling it to carry fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and amphibious equipment. This enhances its capabilities for both amphibious and far-seas operations.
Following its launch, the Sichuan will undergo further adjustments, mooring trials, and sea trials before becoming fully operational.
