Gaza Families Search for Missing Loved Ones Amidst Rubble and Devastation
In the aftermath of the 15-month war in Gaza, families are desperately searching for their missing loved ones amidst the rubble and devastation. Wissam, a mother of four, has been searching for her husband Yousef for almost a year. He disappeared while checking on his mother, Fathia, whose body is also missing.
Wissam has trawled through thousands of photos of unidentified corpses and searched through the rubble, but to no avail. She describes the horrific scenes she has witnessed, with bodies so decomposed and mutilated that she can only check the teeth for identification.
Lina Aldaba also faces the agonizing task of searching for her missing daughter, Aya. The 13-year-old was killed by Israeli sniper fire while trying to fill a water jerrycan. Her family hastily buried her in a shallow grave, but when they returned to give her a proper burial, they found the grave empty.
Ahmed Kilani is searching for his brother Mohamed, who was killed while delivering food to families. His body was left in the street for 22 days and then hastily buried by neighbors. When the family returned to the spot, they couldn't find the body due to the intense bombing.
These families are just a few of the many who are struggling to cope with the loss and uncertainty surrounding their missing loved ones. They are desperate for answers and closure, but the task of finding them is daunting. With the ceasefire in place, they hope that they will finally be able to find their loved ones and give them a proper burial.

The international community needs to stop funding Hamas. This money is used to buy weapons and kill innocent people.
