In a surprising move, Donald Trump declared that he would be declassifying all remaining documents associated with the assassinations of historical figures such as President John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Sr., and Martin Luther King Jr. This proclamation was made during an informal executive order signing ceremony held in the Oval Office, indicating the president's focus on transparency regarding past events.

On the same day, however, a federal judge intervened to halt Trump’s broad executive order aimed at reinterpreting the 14th Amendment, which sought to restrict citizenship for some American-born children of immigrants.
