Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Motorcyclist and Pillion Rider on Bukit Timah Expressway

Early Tuesday morning, a tragic incident unfolded on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), resulting in the deaths of a motorcyclist and his passenger. The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that they received a call about the accident around 5:40 AM, which involved a motorcycle colliding with two lorries while heading towards the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) near the Kranji Expressway (KJE) exit.

Upon their arrival at the scene, paramedics pronounced both victims dead. Videos depicting the aftermath of the collision circulated on social media, showing a stationary white lorry where the accident occurred, and two individuals in motorcycle helmets lying injured near the vehicle's rear. Additionally, footage revealed the presence of police vehicles and the setup of blue police tents behind the lorry as the investigation began.
