In a recent announcement, the PGA Tour revealed that Scottie Scheffler, the top-ranked golfer globally, and Justin Thomas, who has won two major championships, will be among the 16 members of the Player Advisory Council (PAC) for the year 2025. This council is significant as it provides advice and consultation to the PGA Tour Policy Board and its Commissioner, Jay Monahan, on matters that impact both the circuit and its players.
Scheffler, who has achieved seven PGA Tour victories in 2024, along with Thomas, will be joined by returning members Sam Burns, Brian Harman, Max Homa, Maverick McNealy, Keith Mitchell, and Seamus Power. Meanwhile, newcomers to the PAC include former U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland, as well as Eric Cole, Trevor Cone, and Max McGreevy. The remaining members of the council include notable players such as Rickie Fowler, Charley Hoffman, Kevin Kisner, and Brandt Snedeker. The election for the PAC Chairman and details about PAC Subcommittees will be announced in the near future.

These golfers are already busy; how will they have time to effectively advise the tour?

Not convinced this will lead to anything beneficial for the average player.

Can’t believe they still haven’t addressed the issue of player payouts effectively.

The more diverse perspectives in the PAC, the better for all players in the long run!

Seems like a lot of talk without real action. Show me the results!
