President Donald Trump, in his inaugural address, declared the start of a new "golden age of America" and promised to make the country "greater, stronger and far more exceptional than ever before." However, his speech also contained a dark and brooding denunciation of his own government.
Trump, standing behind a lectern adorned by the presidential seal, said his return to the White House would ensure that America would "not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer." He claimed that the government "cannot manage even a simple crisis at home, while at the same time stumbling into a continuing catalog of catastrophic events abroad."
The president also criticized the country's public health system and education system, claiming that they are incapable of delivering in times of disaster and that they "reaches our children to be ashamed of themselves, in many cases, to hate our country, despite the love that we try so desperately to provide to them."
Trump promised to take swift action to accomplish his goals with "a series of historic executive orders" to "begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense." He also said he would return American immigration policy to that which existed at the end of his first term and order drug cartels designated as foreign terrorist organizations.
Continuing, Trump claimed that he would be ordering the creation of an "external revenue service" to "tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens." He also said he would issue a separate order to "immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America."
The president's dark declarations and denunciations of the government he leads were followed by incongruous boasts of making the country into "a nation like no other, full of compassion, courage and exceptionalism." He declared that the U.S. would be "a free, sovereign and independent nation.

He's a businessman, not a politician, so he'll actually get things done.

Taxing other countries to enrich US citizens? That's just blatant robbery.

The public health system has been failing for years, glad he's addressing it.

His boasts of exceptionalism ring hollow when he can't even handle a pandemic.

His actions speak louder than his words, and his actions are disastrous for our nation.
