The Rats Are Out of the Walls
The world has changed dramatically in just two weeks. Los Angeles is on fire, Facebook is spreading neo-fascist lies, the US is threatening to invade Canada and Greenland, and Elon Musk and Jordan Peterson are praising Tommy Robinson. Meanwhile, the next US president, already a sexual abuser, is now a convicted felon who would be in prison if not for his position.
It feels like the rats have been hiding in the walls of the world, waiting for us to let our guard down. Now, they're breaking out, fueled by the dark tech-lords Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos. These billionaires are reshaping our reality, spreading lies and misinformation through their platforms.
We can't let them win. We need to disconnect from their platforms and encourage others to do the same. We need to create our own spaces, free from their influence, where we can wait out this information dark age.
Boycott Musk's fascist US. Just like we boycotted apartheid South Africa, we need to boycott Musk's companies until he stops spreading hate and misinformation.
Don't believe everything you see on social media. Check your sources and be critical of everything you read online.
Create your own spaces. Start your own blogs, podcasts, and online communities where you can share information and ideas without censorship.
Talk to your kids and grandkids. Teach them how to be critical thinkers and how to identify fake news.
We can't let the future fascists win. We need to fight back and protect our democracy.

Generalizing about billionaires or any group of people is unproductive. There are bad actors everywhere, but there are also good people trying to make a difference.

Boycotting is a powerful tool. It worked against apartheid, and it can work against Musk and his ilk.

It's important to be informed, but constantly consuming negative news will only hurt your mental health. Take breaks and focus on things that make you happy.
