Prince Harry's Immigration Status Under Scrutiny
Prince Harry's immigration status in the United States has come under scrutiny, with a prominent political expert claiming he could face deportation within months of Donald Trump taking office. Nile Gardiner, of the Heritage Foundation, believes their campaign to force the release of Prince Harry's immigration application could lead to a major breakthrough once Mr. Trump is in the Oval Office.
The Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security last year in an attempt to force the disclosure of the Prince's visa application, which could reveal whether he confessed to previously taking illegal drugs. In his autobiography, Spare, Prince Harry confessed to using cannabis, cocaine, and magic mushrooms, which the Heritage Foundation argues would have barred his entry into the United States.
The legal action failed last September after it was blocked by a judge. However, Mr. Gardiner now believes Donald Trump will use his executive powers to overturn the decision and release the documents. Once published, it may reveal that Prince Harry either lied on the official application or suggest he received favorable treatment due to his status.
Mr. Gardiner believes the move by Donald Trump could come within a few months of him taking office and could even force the deportation of Prince Harry from the United States "very quickly." He emphasizes the importance of transparency and accountability, stating, "We want to know whether he was honest and truthful on his immigration application."
He further adds, "If someone lies on a US immigration application, that is a criminal offense, and that person would be subject to deportation from the United States." He challenges Prince Harry to support the release of his application to allow him to set the record straight.
Mr. Gardiner believes there's a good chance the records will be released and that President Trump will take appropriate action if Harry lied on his application. He reiterates his challenge to Prince Harry, stating that if he lied, he could be deported from the United States very swiftly.
The timeline for a decision on this crucial question by the President is uncertain, but Mr. Gardiner hopes it will be within the next few months. He believes President Trump has the authority to order the release of the records and is likely to do so.
