Girona's European Hopes Dented Despite Michel's Optimism

Michel acknowledges the need to prioritize securing their place in the league before aiming higher. "The first thing is to achieve salvation which gives security and the club has stability," he said. "But then we have to look upwards and build a team that can fight for Europe."

Girona took an early lead, but Sevilla responded with two goals in the second half to claim victory. Michel attributed the loss to Girona's inability to maintain possession and their struggles in attack. "We lost too many balls in the build-up, imprecise," he explained. "We didn't have the ability in attack, and if Sevilla can run, they can hurt you.
