Toronto Argonauts Extend Cameron Judge Through 2026

The Toronto Argonauts have secured the services of Canadian linebacker Cameron Judge for the foreseeable future, signing him to a contract extension through the 2026 season. The announcement was made by the CFL club on Thursday.

Judge's arrival in Toronto comes via a trade with the Calgary Stampeders, completed on Friday. The Argonauts sent defensive lineman Folarin Orimolade to Calgary in exchange for the talented linebacker.

Judge's impressive performance last season earned him recognition as the Stampeders' nominee for outstanding defensive player. He recorded a remarkable 73 defensive tackles and a sack during the season.

His contributions extend beyond tackles and sacks. Judge has also been Calgary's nominee for outstanding Canadian in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He was further recognized as a CFL and West Division all-star in 2022.

Prior to his time in Calgary, Judge played eight games for Toronto in 2021 before being traded in February 2022. His initial three seasons were spent with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he earned the West Division's nomination for outstanding Canadian in 2019.

Throughout his career, the 30-year-old Montreal native has amassed impressive statistics. He has recorded 356 defensive tackles, 22 special teams tackles, 15 sacks, and nine interceptions over 95 games played with Saskatchewan, Toronto, and Calgary.

"I'm excited to stay in Toronto and try and help this team win another Grey Cup championship," Judge expressed in a statement. "It's a great organization and I can't wait to get to work.
