President-Elect Trump Announces Key Nominations Ahead of Inauguration
Just days before his inauguration on January 20th, President-elect Trump announced several key nominations for his administration. The announcements were made through a series of posts on Truth Social, where Trump congratulated his picks and outlined their qualifications.
Among the nominees are Chris Stallings for assistant administrator for disaster recovery and resilience of the Small Business Administration, Luke Lindberg for U.S. undersecretary for trade and foreign agriculture affairs at the Department of Agriculture, and Troy Meink for secretary of the Air Force.
Stallings currently serves as the director of the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and will work closely with Kelly Loeffler, the incoming small business administrator. Trump expressed confidence that Stallings and Loeffler will ensure the government responds quickly and effectively to disasters, protecting small businesses, the backbone of the economy.
Lindberg, who served as chief of staff and chief strategy officer at the Export-Import Bank during Trump's first term, will focus on securing "smart" trade deals for American farmers and ranchers. He currently leads South Dakota Trade, a public-private partnership facilitating international trade for the state.
Meink, currently serving as the principal deputy director of the National Reconnaissance Office, brings extensive experience in the military and aerospace industry to the role of secretary of the Air Force. He began his career as a KC-135 tanker navigator and later worked as a test engineer for missile defense systems. Trump emphasized Meink's collaboration with Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth to ensure the Air Force remains the most effective and powerful force in the world.
Finally, Dudley Hoskins was selected as undersecretary for marketing and regulatory programs at the Department of Agriculture. Hoskins currently serves as counsel on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry and previously held positions at the Department of Agriculture during Trump's first term. Trump expressed confidence that Hoskins will work with Secretary of Agriculture nominee Brooke Rollins to ensure American food remains the safest and healthiest in the world.

Focusing on trade deals while ignoring climate change? This is what we get for putting a businessman in charge.

Trump promised change, but all I see are the same old faces with the same old greed.

The Air Force deserves better than someone who started as a navigator. We need a leader, not a follower.

The Air Force is in good hands with Meink. He understands the threats we face and how to maintain our military dominance.

Lindberg understands the importance of trade and will fight for American interests on the global stage.

Loeffler knows how to navigate disasters and help businesses recover. She's the perfect pick for this role.
