The Toronto Raptors snapped their five-game losing streak with a thrilling 104-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena. Ochai Agbaji emerged as the hero for the Raptors, scoring two crucial baskets in the final minutes of the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Scottie Barnes continued his impressive season with a team-high 23 points, while Jakob Poeltl contributed a double-double of 13 points and 13 assists. The Raptors shot efficiently from the field, connecting on 47.7% of their attempts, and drained 12 three-pointers.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 26 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Raptors' late surge. The Warriors struggled to find their rhythm offensively, shooting just 42.9% from the field and 10 three-pointers.
The game started with a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to establish a significant lead. The Raptors held a slim 28-26 advantage after the first quarter and maintained their lead at halftime, going into the locker room with a 52-50 advantage.
The third quarter saw the Warriors take control, outscoring the Raptors 36-22 to take an 86-74 lead heading into the final frame. However, the Raptors refused to give up and mounted a furious comeback in the fourth quarter.
Agbaji's heroics proved to be the difference-maker. With the score tied at 101 with just over a minute remaining, Agbaji drove to the basket and converted a layup to give the Raptors a one-point lead. He then sealed the victory with a thunderous dunk with 39.8 seconds left on the clock.
The Warriors had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Buddy Hield's three-point attempt at the buzzer fell short. The Raptors held on for the hard-fought victory, ending their losing streak and improving their record to 9-31.
The Warriors, on the other hand, fell below the .500 mark at 19-20 and will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Raptors shot the ball very efficiently in this game. If they can keep that up, they'll win more games in the future.

One win won't solve the Raptors problems, but it's at least a step in the right direction. They need to keep building on this performance.

This was a game of two halves for sure, but I'm still not convinced the Raptors have what it takes to be a real contender.

I'm still not sold on this Raptors team. They need to prove this win wasn't just a fluke and can string some wins together.

Poeltl's double-double was good to see, but the Raptors still need to find more consistency from the other bigs.

This was a frustrating loss to watch as a Warriors fan. They had so many opportunities to win this one but couldn't capitalize.
